Trail description
The descent from Monte Padrio is part of the Five Crazy Downs - a series of five MTB descents around Tirano. This descent is fun and doesn't present too many difficulties.
The departure of the freeride route of Monte Padrio is from Tirano. By pedaling or with the bike shuttle, you go up to Trivigno, near the car park of the cross-country track (it is 17 km from Tirano with a 1300 m difference in altitude).
To start the descent, you have to go up the paved road for a few hundred meters and turn left. Traveling along the dirt road for 300 m, you reached the highest point.
The first downhill section is the most flowing and fun: an easy single trail winds through the woods that leads to a small of paved road to reach the rest of the descent.
Then continue in the descent on dirt roads which in sections cross the paved road used for the ascent.
The descent is always pleasant and easy and you reach the town of Stazzona and return to Tirano via the cycle path.
